Author Bio:

The author was born in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, where he started his life's training on the family-owned farm. Throughout his youth, he was taught by his grandfather how to fish, set a trap, and stalk big game. Learning these skills was crucial to the family's survival.

After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy, received engineering and survival training, was assigned to an amphibious ship, deployed and participated in the blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and later rescued Americans from Haiti during the Dominion/Haiti Crisis. Then, he served an extended hitch during the Vietnam War. Returning home, he married and joined the Army National Guard, serving in aerial and ground support photography assignments.

Among the many diverse jobs, he also worked as a professional writer and photographer for over 60 years. With his children grown and on their own, he now pursues what he loves the most - writing true-to-life, survival, adventure-type stories from which he draws on his past experiences, training, and extensive research.

Tell us about your book:

"A Moment in Time" is a story about second chances. In this case, the whole world is at stake, and the people in it are running out of time. So, what if God decides to give everyone one more chance? This is such a story that involves you and everyone reading this story.

How does this book relate to your real-life experiences?

If it wasn't for second and third and even more chances than I ever deserve, I'd not be here today to write this story. This is about how God cares about and loves us – I'm living proof. Every time I took the wrong path or made bad decisions, HE pushed me back onto the right path and gave me the strength to keep going.

How long did it take to write the book?

It took 21 months from concept to rough draft, initial edits, final edit, and proofing to finally see it published on 07/31/2022.

What inspired you to write the book?

I was inspired by my faith in God, and by HIS hand, this book was written.

Let's talk about the writing process. Did you have a writing routine? Did you do any research, and if so, what did that involve?

I do my best writing after 9 PM to approximately 3 AM. Having a computer and word processor at my disposal, which I use to research resources for this story, and being retired, I find that I have unlimited time to write, and what better subject to draw on than the greatest story ever told – THE HOLY BIBLE?

What do you hope your readers come away with after reading your book?

I would hope that after reading this book, the readers would come away with a greater understanding of how much GOD loves all HIS creation and most especially those of whom HE created in HIS IMAGE.

Where can we go to buy your book?

This book is readily available online through Amazon.com as a softcover, a Kindle download, or at Barnes & Noble. If any of your bookstores should be out of stock, be sure to give them the following number: ISBN- 9798840583593.

Excerpt from this novel:

"He watched himself entering the picture, kneeling and praying over the women, and then he got up and left. He was about to look away from the screen when he saw the woman move. He heard a gasp behind him and saw his mother and father suddenly sit down. The woman's arms, legs, and neck straightened, and she got up and went over and picked up her sign. The crying suddenly stopped as the children all ran up to her, hugging and cheering her."

"Malachi stepped forward, laying his hands on Russell; he prayed. After finishing, he took Russell by the hand and told him to stand in God's name, and he did. Then he said to Bill and Jane, "Go and tell the people that time is running out – that they must repent and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into their hearts, or most assuredly, they will perish".

Both Bill and Mary fell to their knees, thanking God for the miracle they had just witnessed and promised to be faithful to His request."

"Bill, Jane, and Russell Barbee were also there. They felt it important to be here to lend their prayers to the occasion and to thank God for healing Russell. He had been watching all the people milling around, and suddenly, he said, "I want to be like the man who prayed for me when I grow up". His parents stood open-mouthed. These were the first words he had ever spoken, and he had said them with such finality."

"Then the two obs beside him took shape, revealing themselves to all humanity. A gasp rose from the people, for their eyes beheld the fullness of God as before them stood two angels. This manifestation gave truth to all that Malachi had spoken."

"A glow like nothing anyone had ever seen enveloped the people, from which came sounds of praise, sobbing, and supplications. No one was left untouched by the spirit of God there or within the sound of Malachi's voice as His (God's) spirit encompassed the world."
